Ncell Foundation announces NPR 10 million support for rescue, relief and rehabilitation of Bhotekoshi flood-affected people

Kathmandu- Ncell Foundation has announced financial support of NPR 10 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on Wednesday.

The flood has caused significant loss of life and property in the riverside areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Gorkha, among other districts. At a time when immediate rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the affected people are needed, Ncell Foundation has announced the support in response to the Government’s appeal.

Ncell has expressed its heartfelt condolences to all those who lost their lives in this tragic incident and deepest sympathy to the bereaved families. It also wishes for the swift rescue and effective relief management for those who remain missing and those affected by the disaster.

Ncell has also been supporting affected people and communities through communication services during this difficult time. Ncell customers in the flood-affected areas have been provided free voice and data services, along with 100 free SMS, valid for three days, effective from Wednesday.

This initiative is expected to help affected people stay connected with their families and loved ones, as well as with teams involved in rescue and relief efforts.

We have decided to provide NPR 10 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts.
