Birgunj- Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, has opened a new authorized Proton showroom in Birgunj, a major commercial city of Madhesh Province. The company also officially launched the All-New Proton e.MAS 5 at a special event. With this new showroom, the number of authorized Proton outlets in Nepal has reached 11.
The e.MAS 5 is Proton’s second electric vehicle in Nepal. According to the company, the vehicle is designed to make urban travel and daily commuting easier, smarter, and more modern. Proton is also continuing its expansion across Nepal and plans to open a new showroom in Birtamode, eastern Nepal, before Dashain. Once the Birtamode showroom starts operations, Proton will have 12 authorized outlets across Nepal.
Recently, the Proton e.MAS 5 won the “Electric Compact Vehicle of the Year 2026” award at the prestigious Allianz DSF Vehicle of the Year Awards 2026 in Malaysia. The vehicle combines modern technology, smart features, and an intelligent design.
The e.MAS 5 comes with a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other modern features. It also offers a 70-liter front trunk (frunk), rear luggage space that can be expanded up to 375 liters, and 32 storage compartments, providing practical space and convenience for both daily use and long-distance travel.
The showroom opening and e.MAS 5 launch event was attended by Birgunj Metropolitan City Acting Mayor Mr. Imtiyaz Alam, business partners, media representatives, auto journalists, and other distinguished guests. The strong participation at the event reflected the growing interest in electric vehicles and sustainable transportation in Birgunj and surrounding areas.

The Proton e.MAS 5 is available in two variants: Prime and Premium. On the occasion of the regional launch in Birgunj, Jagdamba Motors has announced a special introductory price of NPR 3.299 million for the Prime variant and NPR 3.699 million for the Premium variant.
Interested customers can now visit the new official Proton showroom at Birgunj Bypass Road to see the e.MAS 5 and e.MAS 7 and take them for a test drive. Customers can also learn more about the vehicles’ modern technology, smart features, design, and driving experience at the showroom.
The opening of the new Birgunj showroom is considered another important milestone in Jagdamba Motors’ plan to expand Proton’s presence across Nepal and increase access to electric vehicles in regional markets. The company plans to open another showroom in Birtamode in the coming days, taking the total number of authorized Proton outlets in Nepal to 12.
