Kathmandu- Veel officially announced its launch in Nepal and India today, marking the company’s expansion into South Asia and opening its AI-powered creator marketing platform to businesses and content creators across both countries.
The launch introduces a unified platform where brands can discover creators, manage campaigns, review content, handle creator payments, and secure content rights from a single workflow. Businesses in Nepal and India can now collaborate with local and international creators, while creators gain direct access to opportunities from brands both within the region and globally.
The launch event brought together representatives from Nepal’s technology, startup, creator, business, and diplomatic communities to celebrate the company’s regional expansion.
Speaking at the event, Dileep Dhakal, Founder and CEO of Veel, said: “Launching in Nepal and India is more than expanding into two new markets; it is a commitment to building the future of the creator economy in South Asia. This region is home to millions of talented creators and ambitious businesses that deserve world-class technology to collaborate, grow, and compete globally. Our vision is to make Veel the infrastructure that powers those connections, helping creators build sustainable careers while enabling businesses to scale through authentic content.”
The event was also honored by charge’ d’Affaires Scott Urbom, U.S. Ambassador to Nepal, and Manish Thapa, Ph.D., Honorary Consul of Costa Rica to Nepal & Founding Managing Partner & Managing Director of Global Equity Fund, who attended as the Honorable Chief Guests.
Chargé d’Affaires Scott Urbom said, “As the United States celebrates 250 years of independence, we celebrate the freedom and ingenuity that have made America a global leader in entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and technological innovation. Veel reflects that spirit by bringing together American enterprise and Nepali talent to create opportunity, strengthen commercial ties, and advance shared prosperity.”
The launch marks an important milestone for the company. While its commercial operations have continued to expand internationally, the Nepal and India launch represents Veel’s first dedicated rollout for the South Asian market.
Founded by Nepali-American entrepreneur Dileep Dhakal, Veel is a video marketing platform that connects brands with creators through a single AI-powered workflow. Instead of relying on fragmented communication across emails, messaging apps, spreadsheets, editing software, and payment tools, brands can manage every stage of a creator campaign from one platform.
Businesses create campaign briefs describing their products, target audience, and content requirements. Creators can apply or be matched through Veel’s AI-powered recommendation system. Once selected, creators produce and edit videos directly within the platform using built-in editing tools and a library of licensed music. Brands review submissions, request revisions if needed, approve the final content, and payments are automatically processed through the Veel wallet. Content licensing and usage rights are also managed within the platform.
Today, Veel supports 450+ brands, 550,000+ verified creators, and operations across 121+ countries, serving businesses ranging from startups to global consumer brands.
Veel has partnered with NCHL, Hamro Pay, eSewa, Khalti, and Fonepay to strengthen the infrastructure supporting creators across Nepal while making it easier for businesses to launch and manage authentic creator campaigns. Local payment support is available through NCHL for businesses, Hamro Pay for creators, and Fonepay, eSewa, and Khalti for both businesses and creators in Nepal. This partnership is another important step toward building the future of Nepal’s creator economy. The platform is now available to businesses through Veel’s website and Veel app on Play Store/Google Play for creators in Nepal.
