Bajura – A foundation stone was laid for the construction of an Agricultural Promotion Center in Muktikot, Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality–5, Bajura.

The center will function as a food collection and distribution hub. The ceremony was jointly conducted by the Chairperson of the rural municipality, Mr. Bharat Bahadur Rokaya, and the Counselor of the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Mr. Avinash Kumar Singh.

The facility is being built with a financial grant of NPR 31.41 million under the Government of India’s ‘Nepal–India Development Cooperation’ initiative. It will include structures such as a grain storage unit, distribution desk, and record room.

The event was attended by political representatives, government officials, social workers, and community members. Speakers expressed confidence that such infrastructure would enhance food security in remote Himalayan regions with limited transport and communication access.
