Weather: Rain and snowfall forecast at some places

Kathmandu- The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today due to the influence of the Westerly with chances of rainfall and snowfall at some places, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.

Light rainfall along with thunder will occur in the hilly region of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as in some places of Bagmati province and Province no 1. There is possibility of light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous region. Meteorologist Shanti Kandel said the impact of the Westerly will remain until the evening today.

According to her, the weather will be fair from Tuesday. At present, the weather is fully cloudy in the western hilly region and generally cloudy in the rest of the hilly region of the country. It will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of the country and partially cloudy in the rest of the country towards the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Forecasting Division stated in its weather update that Kathmandu Valley recorded the minimum temperature 9.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature 22.0 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 0.7 degrees Celsius throughout the country over the last 24 hours. RSS
