Surkhet, May 16 (RSS): Chief Minister of Karnali province, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, has expressed sorrow over the crash of a cargo aircraft of Makalu Air resulting in human casualty.
The cargo aircraft of Makalu air flying to Humla from Surkhet met with an accident this morning, killing only the two crew members on board.
Extending heartfelt tributes to pilot Kiran Bhattarai and co-pilot Aditya Nepali, who died in the crash, Chief Minister Shahi extended deep condolences towards the bereaved family, said CM Shahi’s Press Advisor Dhurba Bikram Budhathoki.
He expressed concern over increasing accidents air crash, saying air transport was a necessity in Karnali province due to geographical difficulties.
The Chief Minister expressed commitment that initiative would be taken by carrying out necessary coordination with federal government and bodies concerned for air safety.
