Lalitpur- Three out of every one thousand children in Nepal suffer from mental disorder. This was stated by Aditya Dangol, Program Officer of the Foundation while speaking at the ‘Annual Principal’s Convention’ organized by the Sambhavya Foundation on Friday. He also informed that 12.9 percent children in the age group of 13-17 years have mental health problems in Nepal. Officer Dangol argued that, among the general public lack of proper knowledge about mental health  is one of the major reasons of it. ‘So, Sambhavya is moving ahead with a major campaign to solve this problem by saying that ‘there should be a mental counsellor in every school’, he said. Speaking on the occasion, Caribbean School Principal Santosh Dahal said that at present most of the children have problems with the learning process due to ‘Digital Autism’. Stating that this problem appears in children from home, he said, ‘It seems that 30 percent of the children in Montessori are affected by this problem.’ Other participants in the program, which focused on the need for mental health in schools and how to access it, shared their experiences of an increase in antisocial activities such as depression and loneliness in most children after the Covid-19 epidemic. Kathmandu- The foundation stone of a new building of Shree Naharpur Secondary School in Butwal, which is being constructed with the financial assistance of the Government of India, has been laid. The foundation stone for the new building of Shree Naharpur Secondary School in Rupandehi was laid by Karun Vanshal, Head of Development Partnership and Reconstruction Division, Embassy of India in Kathmandu and Shivraj Subedi, Mayor of Butwal Municipality. The new school building will be constructed as a high impact community development project under the Nepal-India Development Partnership Program at a cost of 4.417 crore rupee. Established in 1971, Shree Naharpur Secondary School is the oldest school in the area. Once the construction is completed, the school will move to a new building. At present 1127 students are studying in the school out of which about 505 are female students. Since 2003, India has completed construction of 454 projects in seven provinces of Nepal under the High Impact Community Development Project in the areas of Public Utilities including Health, Drinking Water, Connectivity, Sanitation. Out of these projects, 10 projects have been completed in Rupandehi district and there are 60 projects in 5 states, out of which 9 projects are in different stages of construction. Kathmandu: ‘The Pashupatinath-Kashi Vishwanath Amrit Mahotsav Motorcycle Rally’, which is being organized with the objective of highlighting the unbroken and eternal relationship between the people of India and Nepal and strengthening the mutual cultural ties, has started from today.
