Kathmandu— Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dr. Vijay Jolly paid a courtesy call on the President of Nepal, Rt. Hon. Ram Chandra Paudel, at Sital Niwas, the Presidential Palace in Kathmandu, on Sunday.

During the meeting, Dr. Jolly expressed gratitude to President Paudel for Nepal’s continued goodwill and its support for India’s firm stance against terrorism. Referring to recent counter-terrorism operations, Dr. Jolly stated that the Government of India, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, remains committed to the complete eradication of terrorism from South Asia and beyond.

Highlighting India’s recent anti-terror operations, Dr. Jolly mentioned that targeted air strikes were carried out on terrorist hideouts within Pakistan from May 7 to May 10, 2025, demonstrating India’s decisive approach toward regional security.

As a symbol of cultural and spiritual unity, Dr. Jolly presented a replica of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir and a saffron scarf to President Paudel. The gesture was appreciated as a reflection of shared civilizational heritage and enduring people-to-people ties between India and Nepal.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Abhagya Paudel, Private Secretary to the President, along with Mr. Vijender Yadav from India, and Mr. Britant Khanal, former CEO of the Nepal Cricket Association and a prominent youth leader in Nepal.

The interaction underscored the strong and time-tested friendship between India and Nepal, rooted in shared values, culture, and mutual respect.
