Sankhuwasabha – India’s Minister for Power and Housing, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Nepal’s Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, jointly visited the site of the 900 MW Arun-3 Hydropower Project, currently being developed by SJVN Ltd. of India.

During the visit, the ministers reviewed the project’s progress, discussed ways to overcome technical and administrative hurdles, and expressed commitment to timely completion.

They also inaugurated the start of electromechanical works at the powerhouse, marking a major milestone in the project’s construction phase.

The joint visit is seen as a strong reaffirmation of India-Nepal energy cooperation, and a step forward in enhancing regional energy connectivity.
