Kathmandu – Govinda Ghimire has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NMB Bank. The bank’s Board of Directors, in its meeting held on Friday, assigned him the role for the next four years.
Ghimire, who was serving as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO), began his banking career at Nepal Bangladesh Bank. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Studies (MBS) and a law degree from Tribhuvan University.
Current CEO Sunil KC’s term will end in the month of Falgun, and Ghimire will take over the responsibilities from 9th Baishakh 2082.
Additionally, Sudesh Upadhyaya has been promoted to Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Upadhyaya has extensive experience in various banking sectors.
