Chitwan– Province-3 Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, Dawa Dorje Lama, underlined the need to develop eco-tourism Park in every community forest.
The province government has put forth interventions for this, he said at a tree plantation programme organized by Madan Bhandari Foundation, Chitwan at Thangkhola community forest in Padampur on Thursday.
The province government has a plan to initiate construction of parks from four community forests of Chitwan in the first phase, he shared, adding that they are submitting proposals to Forest and Tourism Ministry for the same.
On the occasion, Province-3 lawmaker Ghanashyam Dahal stressed the need to best utilize community forests in productive works.
As many as 200 saplings of lemon and Avocado were planted at the programme to mark the 67th birth anniversary of late leader Madan Bhandari. RSS
