Kathmandu – The Bajravarahi Chapagaun Hospital in Lalitpur has had its first appendicitis surgery.
The hospital chief, Dr. Ankur Poudel, led a successful operation on a 45-year-old woman with appendicitis on Paush 23. A team including Dr. Deepak Lohala and Dr. Rajendra Maharjan participated in the surgery. The patient arrived at the hospital on push 22nd with severe abdominal pain.
After the necessary check-ups, the patient was diagnosed with appendicitis, and the surgery was performed the next day. According to the hospital, her condition is currently normal and she is under continuous follow-up by the doctor.
Hospital chief, Dr. Ankur Poudel, says that it is a matter of pride that appendicitis surgery was performed at the hospital in a short time. He says that this was possible due to the management and support of skilled human resources.
Similarly, Bagmati Province’s Youth and Sports Minister Minkrishna Maharjan has expressed his gratitude to the hospital after receiving information about the patient’s health condition. Ramhari Ghimire, the newly appointed chairman of the Hospital Operations and Management Committee, took information about the patient’s health condition and thanked the team of doctors involved in the surgery.
Poudel achieved success in his first attempt after taking over as the hospital chief about 8 months ago.
