Kathmandu – Nepal-India bilateral foreign secretaries’ talks have been completed. In the meeting of the bilateral foreign secretary-level mechanism held on Monday, the meeting was concluded in the presence of a team of 7 each under the leadership of Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Bharatraj Paudyal and India’s Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra.

Various aspects of multifaceted cooperation between India and Nepal including development partnership, energy cooperation, trade and economic cooperation, institutional contacts and people-to-people relations were discussed in the meeting.

Similarly, regarding railway connectivity between the two countries, both sides have agreed to complete the construction of the remaining sections of the Jayanagar-Kurtha-Bijalpur-Bardibas and Jogbani-Viratnagar railway projects soon and put them into operation.

Indian Foreign Secretary Kwatra, who came to Nepal on the invitation of Foreign Secretary Paudyal, also met President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachand’ and Foreign Minister Dr. Vimala Rai Paudyal on the occasion.
