Kathmandu – Sunil Karki won the Ang Tshiring Sherpa Memorial Golf Tournament here at Gokarna Forest Resort on Saturday. Karki playing with 18 handicap, scored 41 points to clinch the trophy and Breakfast for four person at Yeti Mountain Home Kongde including helicopter ride on Air Dynasty.

Suman Joshi made a hole in one on the 10th hole to create a history in Nepal by winning a car in a tournament. He received a KIA Sonet car, after his ball found the cup at 165 yards hole.

Tahir Shah finished runner-up in the tournament after he scored 40 points. He received two nights and three days stay at Mala Lodge, Majgaon Ghandruk for two persons on Full Board plan along with air ticket Kathmandu – Pokhara – Kathmandu on Yeti Airlines with local transportation.

Hridesh Kumar Singh won the best gross on the count back after he scored 34 gross points. he received two nights three days stay at Moksha Mustang for two persons on full board plan along with Air tickets on Yeti Airlines and Tara Air for Kathmandu – Pokhara – Jomsom and back.

Vijay Shrestha Einhaus won runner-up in gross category and got two night three days stay at Mala Lodge, Majgaon Ghandruk for two persons on full board plan with air ticket Kathmandu – Pokhara – Kathmandu on Yeti airlines along with local transportation.

Kashmira Shah was ladies winner with 38 points and bagged two night three days stay at Yeti Mountain Home (Khangri), Lukla for two person on full board plan clubbed with air ticket Kathmandu – Lukla – Kathmandu.

Gita Gurung finished ladies runner-up with 32 points and received two night three days stay at Kasara Jungle Resort for two person on bed and breakfast with air ticket on yeti airlines Kathmandu – Bharatpur – Kathmandu including wildlife activities such as canoeing, jungle walk, visit to crocodile breeding center, village tour, bird watching and cycling, Airport-Hotel-Airport transportation in Bharatpur.

Pradeep Kumar Shrestha got the senior winner award for age 60 and above two night three days stay at Gokarna Forest Resort for two persons on Full Board plan (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) with 60 min massage for both.

Shayaan Basnyat clinched junior winner trophy with 44 points and he received two night three days stay at Buddha Maya Garden Hotel, Lumbini for two persons on full board plan with air tickets Kathmandu – Bhairahawa – Kathmandu on Yeti Airlines.

Tashi Tshiring Dong won the longest drive award, Surendra Phuyal Bagged the closest to the pin and Dawa J Sherpa got the most birdies. They all got the prizes from Yeti group of companies.

The favorite hole of Mr. Ang Tshiring Sherpa, 13th Hole had a special prize, Babu Sherpa claimed the prize after hitting the shot closest to the hole from the tee and got two-way air tickets for two KTM-DUBAI-KTM on Himalaya Airlines.

The tournament organized in the memory of late Ang Tshiring Sherpa who died on a helicopter crash two years ago was participated by a record number of 160 participants. The tournament was played on the stableford format with 3/4 handicap.

Chairman of Yeti Airlines Lakpa Sonam Sherpa, Managing Director and wife of Late Ang Tshiring Sherpa, Mrs. Chanda Sherpa, Chief Executive Officer of Yeti Airlines Anoj Rimal, President of Gokarna Golf Club Suhrid Ghimire and Captain Joseph Nathan gave away the prizes to the winners of the tournament.
