Kathmandu, July 25 : With the revenue management information system (RMIS) coming into effect public revenue can be deposited in the branches of all banks undertaking public transactions.
At a press conference organized here today by the Financial Comptroller General Office, it was shared that the system has been brought to effect from July 17 so as to make financial transactions including revenue open, transparent and accountable.
While making public the achievements of the works performed in the fiscal 2074-75 and upcoming year’s policy and programme, the FCGO shared that an arrangement has been made to deposit the payments of Nepal governments through banking channels.
The revenue received from the Nepal government can be deposited electronically in any banks.
The office has also mechanized a system making information of revenue deposit transparent and easily accessible in line with the international standards.
Comptroller General Ram Kumar Acharya shared that they were successful in undertaking internal audit, management of Federal Reserve fund, government retirement fund, government’s accounting systems and frameworks.
