Kathmandu: Kathmandu Valley witnessed increased activity on Sunday as people visited their elders and relatives to receive Dashain Tika and blessings on the final day of the festival.
The tradition of receiving Tika and blessings, which began after Vijaya Dashami, continues until Kojagrat Purnima. During this period, people visit the homes of their elders and family members to receive blessings from Durga Bhawani.
As Kojagrat Purnima marks the conclusion of Dashain festivities, Sunday saw people making their final visits to relatives and elders to observe the tradition.
Meanwhile, activity in Kathmandu Valley has also increased as people who had left the capital to celebrate Dashain with their families in their hometowns have started returning.
The growing movement of people and vehicles has contributed to the increased bustle across the valley as the Dashain holiday period comes to an end.
