Kathmandu- Following the devastating flash-floods that struck the Rasuwa region on Bhadra 10, KL Dugar Group has extended food relief support to families affected by the disaster.
In the first phase of its relief, the KL Dugar Group has provided two trucks of essential food supplies for families affected by the floods in Rasuwa and Nuwakot. The relief materials were handed over at the premises of the District Coordination Committee in Bidur, in the presence of Homnath Dahal, Administrative Officer at the District Administration Office, Nuwakot.
The relief package includes essential food items such as rice, lentils, salt, wheat flour, cooking oil, biscuits, beaten rice (chiura), spices and other daily necessities. The support aims to help meet the immediate food needs of families whose daily lives have been severely disrupted by the floods.
With access to basic necessities, particularly food, becoming a challenge for many families affected by the disaster, the initiative seeks to provide immediate relief and ease some of the difficulties faced by communities during this challenging time.
As heavy rainfall and flooding have damaged road networks and created transportation challenges, KL Dugar Group plans to deliver additional relief materials to the affected areas in phases, depending on access and road conditions. The Group stated that standing alongside affected communities and extending humanitarian support during times of crisis is an important part of its commitment to social responsibility.
Expressing its deep sympathy and solidarity with the affected families during this difficult period, KL Dugar Group has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing humanitarian support and cooperation for communities affected by the disaster.
