Birgunj- More than 7,000 protective helmets for use by Nepal’s law enforcement agencies were handed over in a ceremony held in Birgunj on Friday.
The helmets were formally handed over by Devi Sahai Meena, Consul General of India in Birgunj, to Shanti Raj Koirala, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Nepal Police, Birgunj (Parsa).

Speaking at the event, officials highlighted that the support would enhance the operational preparedness and safety of Nepal’s law enforcement personnel. The protective gear is expected to strengthen the capacity of security agencies in carrying out their duties effectively and safely.

The handover reflects the continued cooperation between Nepal and India in supporting institutional capacity-building and public security initiatives. The event was attended by government officials, security personnel, and representatives from both sides.
