Kathmandu – Ten Prisoner Carrier Trucks were ceremonially handed over by Shri Devi Sahai Meena, Consul General in_birgunj
to Shri Bhola Dahal, Chief District Officer, Parsa at an event held in Birgunj today.
These trucks will contribute to enhancing the capabilities of security forces and law enforcement agencies of Nepal.
Earlier this year, the Government of India gifted around 640 vehicles — including SUVs, pickups and trucks— to Nepal as part of the assistance requested for conducting the House of Representatives elections held on 5 March 2026. In previous years, more than 2,000 vehicles were gifted by India to security agencies, including the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepali Army.
