Kathmandu – The Government of India has provided a subsidy for prefabricated steel bridge components to Nepal. On Wednesday, India handed over the parts of ten prefabricated steel bridges (bridges) worth 38 crores to Nepal.

According to the Indian Embassy, ​​the Indian government has handed over the parts in the first batch for the areas affected by the floods and landslides. After the request of the government, India has informed that the parts have been handed over as a subsidy to restore the road connectivity of Nepal.

Devi Sahay Meena, Consul General of the Consulate General of India in Birgunj, handed over the goods to Parsa Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal on Wednesday.

The Indian Embassy has informed that the remaining consignments of prefabricated steel bridges will be provided to the Government of Nepal in the coming days.

Similarly, in the last two days, India has distributed more than 25 tons of relief materials including essential cleaning materials, medicines, life jackets, sleeping mats, food items, inflatable rubber boats, motors, tarpaulins, sleeping bags, blankets, chlorine tablets and water bottles to help families affected by floods and landslides. has been made available.
