Kanchanpur- A group of cyclists from the Budhanilakantha Riders Club are pedaling from far-western part of the country to the eastern border to enhance advocacies on social issues such as violence-free society and environment conservation.
The 11 cyclists have kicked off their rally from Gaddachowki in Kanchanpur district today. The cycle rally is themed ‘Mahakali-Mechi Cycle Rally for Violence-Free Society and Environment Conservation’, shared coordinator of the event, Ram Bahadur Shrestha.
DSP Amar Bahadur Thapa at the District Police Office handed over the national flag to the team leader of the rally before they pedaled their way through Gaddachowki. DSP Thapa viewed that the rally was important for spreading a message against growing cases of violence across the country.
Insurance companies such as Siddhartha Insurance and Sagarmatha Insurance sponsored the rally that will conclude in Jhapa, the district bordering India in the eastern part of the country. RSS
