Prohibitory order issued in Tehrathum

The District Administration Office, Tehrathum, has issued a prohibitory order for a week after nine people tested positive for coronavirus in a single day. Issuing a notice on Thursday, Chief District Officer Bishworaj Neupane imposed the prohibitory order till August 27 implementing from Thursday mid night.

According to the District Administration Office, the prohibitory order was issued for a week after coronavirus was confirmed on nine people including government employees and lawyer of Tehrathum in course of contact tracing. Permission has been granted to open shops of food stuffs and vegetable for two hours from 7:00 am after adopting alertness.

Movement of people as well as vehicles except essential services has been restricted. The office also warned of taking action against those involved in black marketing, artificial shortage and price hike of daily essential goods in the name of prohibitory order. Chief of Health Office, Tehrathum, Yograj Ghimire, said that out of 74 samples sent for coronavirus test at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan on August 17, nine people tested positive.
