State not sincere towards families of disappeared persons: CM Raut

Chief Minister of state-2, Lalbabu Raut, has argued that families of the disappeared persons have not yet been provided with justice as the state was not sincere towards them. At a state-level interaction programme with the victims and stakeholders organsied by Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons in Janakpur today, Chief Minister Raut stressed that the state should be sincere to give justice to the victims’ families. He also expressed the belief that the families of disappeared persons would get justice in coming days, adding that the state government would help ensure justice to 196 families in state-2. CM Raut added, “Let’s resolve the problems of families of disappeared persons soon. Justice should be given to the victims’ families to heal their wounds.” He urged the Commission to resolve the problem of families of disappeared persons immediately. On the occasion, Mayor of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City Lal Kishor Sah, Commission’s joint-secretary Ishwori Prasad Dhakal, Member Sunil Ranjan Singh, among others expressed their views. Similarly, the members of victims’ families demanded that they be informed about the whereabouts of their kin.
