Kathmandu- Global mobility and delivery platform inDrive has contributed NPR 7.5 crore, approximately USD 500,000, to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support the Government of Nepal’s ongoing relief, rehabilitation and recovery efforts for communities affected by the recent Bhote Koshi floods.
The contribution was handed over to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle in Kathmandu on September 9, 2026, in the presence of representatives from inDrive Nepal.
The support comes in the aftermath of the devastating Bhote Koshi flood on August 26, which was triggered by an ice-rock avalanche near the Nepal-China border. The disaster caused widespread destruction across Rasuwa and downstream areas, including parts of Nuwakot and Dhading.
The floods resulted in significant loss of life and extensive damage to homes, schools, bridges, hydropower facilities and other critical infrastructure. Search and rescue operations remain ongoing, while efforts continue to locate people still missing following the disaster.
Alongside its contribution to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, inDrive has also provided direct relief assistance to flood-affected families in Bidur Municipality–9 of Nuwakot.
The company distributed essential relief materials, including food, solar lights, induction stoves, blankets and sanitary pads, to families facing immediate needs following the disaster.
inDrive Founder and CEO Arsen Tomsky expressed condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the disaster and said the company wanted to stand with the people of Nepal during the difficult period.
He said inDrive hopes its contribution will provide immediate assistance to those in need while also supporting affected communities in their efforts to recover and rebuild.
inDrive has also expressed solidarity with families who are still awaiting information about their missing relatives following the Bhote Koshi disaster.
