Kathmandu – On the auspicious occasion of Ashadha Purnima, the Embassy of India in Nepal organized a special prayer ceremony to commemorate Lord Buddha’s first sermon.
The ceremony witnessed the participation of monks and representatives from the Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana traditions from across Nepal.
During the event, sacred chants and prayers were offered in remembrance of Lord Buddha’s first sermon at Sarnath. The ceremony is believed to have further strengthened the deep spiritual and cultural ties between Nepal and India.
