An isolation ward has been set up at Dhaulagiri zonal hospital keeping in mind the risks resulting from coronavirus (COVID-19). A two bed isolation ward has been placed at hospital as part of its preparation to provide corona health service, shared acting medical superintendant Dr Shailendra BK Pokharel. He further said the isolation ward was prepared to provide treatment and counseling service to the suspected patients. “Now the isolation ward has two beds. We would add beds based on the need”, he said. The hospital sources said patients mainly with fever, sneezing and cough coming to the hospital would be treated and counseled maintaining high alerts. Chief District Officer Gaulochan Sainju also has urged private hospitals to arrange isolation wards in keeping with potential; risks of corona outbreak. He also shared that the district administration office has called on all sides not to organize any public meetings, conference and fair in the district.
