Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Banskota has given resignation from his position.
The resignation comes after release of an audio of a telephonic conversation where he is reportedly heard asking for 700 million in commission from an agent of a business firm.
Speaker Agni Sapkota has informed about Minister Baskota’s resignation.
Opposition party Nepali Congress had demanded Minister Baskota to step down following the release of the audio.
