Kathmandu – Nepal have bagged silver medal towards the male team kumute event under the British Open International Karate Championship.
Binod Shakya Gubhaju, Biplav Lal Shrestha and Sonam Lama of the Nepali team competed in the event held in Leister of Great Britain on Monday. The championship is organized by British Karate Federation. The Nepali team reached the final by defeating the Scottish players.
Shakya, who is also the instructor of the Nepali team, said Sonam bagged a silver medal in the under 60 Kg weight category competition. He had defeated the Scotland competitor. (RSS)
