Jajarkot– Three houses were buried in a landslide that took place this morning below Thanti bazaar in ward no. 3 of Bheri municipality.

Occupants of the houses on the road leading to Pani Naula from Thanti bazaar are suspected to have been buried in the incident. Police are currently carrying out rescue work with the help of locals.
Meanwhile, Chair of Junichande rural municipality Krishna Bahadur KC has provided financial assistance to the families who lost their loved ones in mudslide. Two people were killed and three injured after a house was buried in a landslide at Garkhakot Chirka in ward no. 6 of the rural municipality.

Chair KC donated Rs. 25,000 on his personal behalf to Harka Bahadur Budha who was injured in the incident, along with his two children. He also promised further financial support for their treatment, if needed to be taken outside the district.

The district natural relief committee has already provided Rs. 216,000 to the landslide victim families. In the incident, 55-year-old Lali Budha and his nine-year-old granddaughter Srijana Budha were killed. RSS
