Kathmandu – Communist Party of Nepal (CPN)’s chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today said commitment and principles of CPN’s founding General Secretary Pushpa Lal should be followed by all.
“There is a need to realise his (Pushpalal) dream. We will accommodate all other small communist parties into the CPN. In the 21st century, Marx’s principles should be defined in a new way. Now work activities are out of track, leading to country lagging behind,” he said.
The former Prime Minister also remembered Pushpalal as a leader who fought to end feudalism in the country and establish rights of people.
Dahal was speaking at a programme organised here today to mark the 40th Memorial Day of Pushpalal. The event was organised by the Pushpalal Memorial Foundation.
CPN senior leader and Chairperson of the Foundation, Madhav Kumar Nepal appreciated Pushpalal as a communist leader who fought against tyranny to liberate the people and the country and lead the country toward prosperity.
Likewise, CPN leader Bamdev Gautam stressed the need for all to develop the country by ending feudalism, saying that the CPN has sailed through various ups and downs since it was established in 2006 B.S.
CPN General Secretary Bisnu Prasad Poudel said Pushpalal proved through his principles that communist movement could bring prosperity to the people and country.
Umeshlal, son of Pushpalal , announced to provide Rs 50,000 from his pocket for the rest of his life to the person who bags the Rastriya Puraskar (National Award) established by the government in memory of his father.  (RSS)
