Deputy Chief of the Development and Tourism Commission of the Sichuan province of China Chao Quin has said that the media has a significant role in the enforcement of the government’s poverty alleviation strategic plan and programme.
Inaugurating training cum experience sharing programme organised for Nepali Journalists by the Foreign Department Office of Sichuan province here today, he said the media should provide every possible support to make the programmes announced by the government to uplift the living standard of the indigenous and backward communities successful.

Deputy Chief of the province poverty alleviation and immigration bureau Luo Yu said proper utilization of natural resources and preservation of the historical heritage is the basis for development.
