Visiting Bangladeshi State Minister calls on PM

Kathmandu– Visiting Bangladeshi Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Nasrul Hamid, called on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday. The meeting focused on the issues relating to mutual interest, trade and commerce. On the occasion, the Prime Minister apprised the guest from the Bangladesh that the government was impatiently waiting to welcome his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina to the upcoming Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multisectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation ( BIMSTEC) scheduled for August 30- 31 in Kathmandu. Bishwakarma arrested on criminal charge: Home Minister

Chitwan–  Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that Netra Bikram Chand led Communist Party of Nepal spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma was arrested on the charge of criminal activities. 2nd Panchpokhari half marathon on August 26

Kathmandu – The 2nd Panchpokhari Half Marathon is taking place from August 26. At a press conference organized here today, the Panchpokhari Half Marathon Organizing Committee informed that the half marathon will cover a distance of 24 kilometres from Thaipal Panchpokhari to Raithaneswori Temple of Sindhupalchowk with the slogan of ‘Sports for Tourism Promotion’. The athletes interested to participate in the marathon will have to register their names on August 21. Both foreign and domestic athletes can participate in the half marathon. The registration fee is 35 US Dollars for foreigners, Rs 1,000 for athletes from Sindhupalchok district and Rs 2,000 for athletes from other districts of Nepal. The interested athletes can register their names at all the ward offices of the Thangpal Panchpokhari rural municipality, at the Chhetrapaleshwari Secondary School, Tipeni, at Melamchi Café in Melamchi Bazar, at the District Sports Development Committee, Sindhupalchok and by visiting the rural municipality’s Facebook page.
