Alternative force necessary to give outlet to the country : Dr. Bhattarai

Rupandehi- Federal Council Chair of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Dr Baburam Bhattarai has stressed on steering the country ahead towards lasting peace and transformation by maintaining national unity. Speaking in a press meet organized by the Janata Samajbadi Party Rupandehi in Butwal today, he said creating an alternative force is the need of the hour for the country’s prosperity and change in the living standard of the people. The former Prime Minister asserted that the country would get an outlet only with the formation of a central socialist force. Stating that people are despondent and confusion has arisen in the lack of an economic, social and cultural change in the country, leader Bhattarai suggested moving ahead by forging unity among the political forces in a new way would be the best alternative. He also expressed concern over the erosion of democratic norms and values in the country and the power centric politics of the parties. Bhattarai said that the crisis on the Supreme Court was an example of this trend. He also accused the ‘old political parties’ of taking the people for a ride spreading lies. Kathmandu- Nekapa (Emale) Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal has started distributing leaflets of his candidature. Vice-Chairman Rawal, who has been decided for the post of chairperson of the 10th CPN’s in Chitwan, has started distributing his pamphlets. Incumbent party president KP Sharma Oli, who is about to contest against Oli, had earlier been advised by various leaders to withdraw Oli from the post saying that it would be appropriate for him to run for the post. New Leadership in Five Municipalities in Chitwan

Chitwan- The first municipal convention of the CPN (Maoist Center) has elected a new leadership in five municipalities of the district. Out of the seven municipalities in the district, new leadership has been selected in Bharatpur, Madi, Rapti, Khairhani and Ichchakamana municipalities. New leadership is being selected in Kalika and Ratnanagar municipalities today. Ishwar Sapkota was unanimously elected chair of Bharatpur, Prabhu Prasad Mahato in Madi, Ram Chandra Pathak in Rapti, Rameshwor Pokhrel in Khairhani and Pratap Gurung in Ichchakamana, according to according to District Chair Yama Bahadur Pariyar. Kathmandu-  On the occasion of ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence (India 75)’, a panel discussion was held by the Consulate General of India, Birgunj on the topic of ‘Relevance of Constitution to Governance in Special Context of Democracy’. The event was held on November 26, 2021 at Clarks Resorts, Birgunj. The panel includes social activist and lecturer Monica Singh, Sahu Bichar Manch president Suresh Kumar, Thakur Ram Multipurpose Campus, Virgunj economics lecturer Laxmi Karna, High Court, Hetauda Advocate, Rameshwar Sedhai, Birgunj College Principal Vinod Gupta, District Court Birgunj Advocate Pannalal Gupta, Professor Anil. India provides five ‘workshop trucks’ to Nepal

Kathmandu- Neighboring India has provided five workshop trucks to Nepal through grants. The truck was handed over to the Nepal Army by the Indian Army during a program held at Jangi Adda on Thursday as agreed by India at the 13th meeting of the Nepal-India Bilateral Consultative Group held in Kathmandu on Mangsir 28, 2075  BS (December 14 2018). Indian Army Colonel Amit Sharma handed over the grant to Rathi Krishnadev Bhatt, Acting Assistant Director, Directorate of Arms and Controlled Equipment Management.
