According to lyricist Ojha, ‘Gaungharai Ghamailo’ is more than a source of entertainment. It is an expression of love for one’s hometown, the sweetness of Nepali identity, and the customs and traditions passed down through generations. He said the song aims to introduce younger generations to traditional practices and cultural values that are gradually fading under the growing influence of modern lifestyles, while contributing to their preservation and continuity.

The song brings to life the defining elements of Tihar, including sparkling lights, lamps glowing in courtyards, the sounds of Deusi-Bhailo, the special bond between brothers and sisters, and the warmth of family gatherings. Through its lyrics, melody, and visuals, the music video seeks to capture these cultural symbols and emotions.

The song is also expected to evoke memories of home and family among Nepalis living abroad for employment, education, and other reasons. At the same time, it aims to strengthen pride in traditional culture and customs among those living in Nepal.

Expressing his happiness over the release, lyricist Ojha said he was delighted to bring his creation before audiences and listeners.

By artistically presenting emotions connected to one’s homeland, loved ones, and cultural roots, ‘Gaungharai Ghamailo’ is expected to convey a message of togetherness, harmony, and cultural awareness alongside the festive spirit of Tihar.

With its aim of passing the fragrance of traditional Nepali culture on to younger generations, the song is expected to touch the hearts of Nepalis and make a meaningful contribution to preserving the country’s cultural heritage.
