Kathmandu – India has handed over the second batch of relief materials to Nepal.

On behalf of the Government of India, Second Secretary Narayan Singh handed over the second batch of relief materials to the Assistant Chief District Officer of Banke, Dattaraj Hamal, while continuing the support of the Government of India for the families affected by the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal.

The humanitarian aid consignment of 21.5 tons including essential cleaning materials, medicines, jhuls, life jackets, sleeping mats, food items, gum boots, inflatable rubber boat and motor was brought from India to Nepalgunj today. More consignments of relief materials are expected to arrive in the coming days.

India has said that it is ready to support the government of Nepal after the devastation caused by the recent floods and landslides.
