Nepalis in South Korea provide financial assistance to Bhagirathi’s family

Jiban Khatri, North Korea-  Sudurpaschim Samaj based in South Korea has provided financial support to the family of Bhagirathi Bhatta of Baitadi. The organisation collected Rs 283,500 to assist the Bhatta family.

Bhatta of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality was murdered after her rape almost a month ago. Treasurer of Samaj DR Paneru, former chairs Nar Bahadur Sarki and Dharma Raj Joshi, and others visited the family members of Bhagirathi in Baitadi and handed over the amount in the presence of rural municipality chairman Chakra Karki and other people’s representatives.

Earlier, the organisation had initiated a campaign for fundraising in South Korea to support the family of Bhagirathi. A total of 169 people made their contributions to collect the fund. RSS
