Valley police chief promises to beef up security

The Chief of Metropolitan Police Office Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police Bishowraj Pokharel has promised to leave no stone unturned to ensure good security situation in the valley.
The public will realize improved level of security situation and the police personnel will work in close collaboration with the locals, DIG Pokharel said at an interaction programme on community-police partnership.
The police will discharge their duties in a more professional fashion by being transparent to translate the government’s commitment to good governance, he added. Likewise, Senior Superintendent of Police Uttam Raj Subedi argued that citizen’s notice makes a big meaning in crime control.
He went on to say that steps would be taken for prompt mobilization of police in the suspected areas and consultations with the citizens for road accident reduction.
