Kathmandu- India has continued its relief assistance to Nepal following the devastating flash floods in Rasuwa.
The sixth and seventh C-130J relief flights from India arrived in Kathmandu carrying 21.5 tonnes of emergency relief supplies, including forensic kits, medical equipment and other essential materials.
The relief supplies brought to Kathmandu were handed over to Nepal’s Minister for Science and Technology, Mahabir Pun, in the presence of Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava.
The forensic kits and medical supplies are expected to strengthen ongoing search and rescue operations, identification of victims and medical response efforts in the flood-affected areas of Rasuwa.
India has been providing Nepal with continued humanitarian, forensic and technical assistance following the Rasuwa disaster. With the arrival of the latest two relief flights, India’s ongoing support for Nepal’s rescue and relief operations has been further strengthened.
