Kathmandu- NMB Bank Limited has published its financial results for the fourth quarter (Q4) of the Fiscal Year 2082/83, recording a historic milestone by entering the ‘NPR 4 Billion Profit Club’ for the first time.
Key Financial Highlights:
Net Profit: Increased by 40.6% to NPR 4.01 billion (up from NPR 2.85 billion in the previous fiscal year). Distributable Profit: Stood at NPR 1.87 billion, with a distributable profit per common equity share of 9.08%. Net Interest Income (NII): Grew by 17.5% to NPR 9.42 billion (up from NPR 8.02 billion), driven by core banking growth and effective balance sheet management.
Fee & Commission Income: Rose by 16.6% to NPR 2.83 billion due to expansions in digital and transaction banking. Net Trading Income: Recorded an impressive 89.0% increase to NPR 681.42 million, boosted by treasury and foreign exchange operations. Profitability Ratios: Return on Equity (ROE) improved to 11.58% (from 9.34%), while Return on Assets (ROA) rose to 1.04% (from 0.88%).
