Kathmandu – The foundation stone for the construction of a hospital building in Ward No. 5 of Nason Rural Municipality, Manang District, Gandaki Province, was jointly laid on Sunday by Dr. Rakesh Pandey, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, and Mr. Dhan Bahadur Gurung, Chairman of Nason Rural Municipality.

The hospital building is being constructed with financial assistance of approximately NPR 56 million from the Government of India. The project is being implemented as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) through Nason Rural Municipality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Gurung and other stakeholders appreciated the developmental support provided by the Government of India and expressed confidence that the new facility would significantly improve access to healthcare services for residents of the rural municipality.

India and Nepal, as close neighbours, continue to maintain broad-based cooperation across multiple sectors. The implementation of High Impact Community Development Projects reflects the Government of India’s continued support for Nepal’s development efforts by strengthening infrastructure in priority sectors and contributing to the country’s growth and prosperity.
