Kathmandu: A central library of Tribhuvan University is to be built in Nepal.

The library is being constructed under the US  250 million grant from India for post-earthquake reconstruction. The library is said to be built at a cost of 50 million US dollars.

In this regard, a bhumi puja program organized for the construction of Tribhuvan University Central Library was jointly organized by Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel and Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra on Tuesday.

The event was attended by senior officials of Tribhuvan University, representatives of embassies, Central Project Implementation Unit and other stakeholders.
