Kathmandu- On the occasion of its 73rd Republic Day, the Indian Embassy has distributed cash and blankets to the heroic women and close relatives of the deceased soldiers.

On the occasion, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra distributed cash and blankets worth Rs 63.5 million in honor of the group.

He also read out a message from the President of India at the event, which was inaugurated by Kwatra at the Embassy in Kathmandu.

 

The embassy said that the event was organized as part of the initiative taken by the Indian government to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence and the remarkable achievements made by Indians in all areas of humanitarian endeavor.

According to the embassy, ​​various programs will be organized till August 2023 under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. In order to celebrate the India@75 milestone in Nepal, the embassy plans to inaugurate 75 development projects implemented with the assistance of India in the provinces and districts of Nepal this year.

Under this, on behalf of India, the Embassy plans to donate a total of 75 ambulances and school buses to various organizations and local bodies in Nepal.
