Kathmandu: ‘The Pashupatinath-Kashi Vishwanath Amrit Mahotsav Motorcycle Rally’, which is being organized with the objective of highlighting the unbroken and eternal relationship between the people of India and Nepal and strengthening the mutual cultural ties, has started from today.

Rally was flagged off today jointly by Hon’ble Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Prem Bahadur Ale and Ambassador of IndiaVinay Mohan Kwatra from the sacred Pashupatinath Temple in the august presence of Ven. Mool Bhatta of the Temple.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Minister Ale spoke about the age-old cultural heritage and civilizational links between India and Nepal and wished the participants of bike rally a success in their journey. Speaking on behalf of India, the Indian Ambassador spoke about the special association between Kathmandu and Kashi and the role played by the two ancient temples – Pashupatinath and Kashi Vishwanath – in bringing people of the two countries together.

Around 50 Indian and Nepali motorcycle enthusiasts participated in the rally, which was aimed at spreading awareness among the youth about the common religious and cultural heritage of the two countries. According to the Indian Embassy, ​​participants in the rally will visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanas on 13 November and offer prayers at Dashaswamedh Ghat to spread the message of cleanliness and cleanliness.

According to the embassy, ​​during the visit, the rally will proceed through various historical sites such as Motihari, the place where Mahatma Gandhi started the Champaran Satyagraha during the Indian War of Independence, Sarnath, the place where Lord Buddha gave his first discourse, and Gorakhnath Math, a famous religious site for devotees of India and Nepal. The rally was organized by the Embassy in collaboration with Royal Enfield Kathmandu as part of the ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’ launched by the Government of India to commemorate and celebrate the 75 years of independent India and the remarkable progress of the Indian people.
