Tanahu – A woman died while 15 others sustained injuries when a micro bus collided with a truck at Chirkane in Byas Municiplaity-12 along the Prithivi Highway this morning.
The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Sabina Rai of Bokshing Municipality in Bhojpur district, according to the District Police Office, Tanahu.
The microbus (Ba 2 Kha 1138) heading towards Pokhara from Kathmandu collided with the truck (Ba 4 Kha 1124) coming from the opposite direction. Critically injured in the accident, Rai succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital.
Among the injured, three critically hurt are receiving treatment at the Pokhara-based Metro City Hospital while rest 12 have been admitted to Damauli-based Ratnahari Memorial Hospital, police said. (RSS)
