India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is presently on a two-day State visit to Nepal arrived here this afternoon. He began his visit from Janakpur of Dhanusha, the district in Province 2.
Foreign Affairs Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali welcomed the Indian Prime Minister at the VVIP bay of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
During his stay in Kathmandu, the Indian Prime Minister is scheduled to engage in high-level talks and will leave for Mustang on Saturday afternoon to pay homage to the Muktinath where he will perform special puja at the temple of Muktinath.
He will be also offered a civic felicitation by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Earlier this morning, he landed in Janakpur Airport via the Air India’s special aircraft at 10:45 am. He arrived in the central capital, some two hours late than the scheduled time.
