Kathmandu – The Government of India has provided 80 Scorpio vehicles to the Election Commission, Nepal for the election of members of the House of Representatives and State Assembly to be held on 4th of November.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava handed over the symbolic key of the vehicle to Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapalia in a program organized at the Commission today.

On this occasion, Chief Election Commissioner Thapalia thanked the Government of India and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Srivastava for their support. Referring to the long-standing friendship between Nepal and India, he said that the relationship between the two countries is based on mutual harmony, bilateral cooperation and cooperation. Mentioning that periodic elections are essential to keep the democratic system alive, he thanked the Government of India for the vehicles, election materials and other necessary support given at various times.

Ambassador Srivastava said that the Government of India has provided this assistance at the request of the Government of Nepal and the Election Commission of Nepal. Mentioning that it was a pleasure for him to assist in the election process as a neighboring country, he expressed his belief that the support provided by the Government of India would further assist the Election Commission in completing the elections.
