KATHMANDU- JGI Nepal Foundation has provided Rs. 1.5 million to the Nepal Army’s for the Mountain Cleaning Campaign to carry out its work under corporate social responsibility.

The campaign is being led by Nepal Army in co-ordination and support from multiple government bodies, private sector, development partners, civil society and implementing partners like Avni Center for Sustainability (ACS).

It is one of the biggest Mountain Clean Up Campaigns in the world and aims to clean four mountains; Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Kanchenjunga this year. The goal is to collect 35 tons of waste from these mountains recycle it. The Mountain Clean-up campaign was completed on the World Environment Day i.e. on June 5, 2022.

JGI Nepal Foundation has been established by Mr. Vijay Kumar Shah and Jawalakhel Group of Industries to help the community in the areas of education, health, social support, sports, gender equality and environment.
