Kathmandu- The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center at the Indian Embassy has concluded its 72nd Council of Indian Cultural Relations (ICCR). The embassy celebrated its 72nd ICCR founding day at Hotel Marriott on Saturday.

The event was organized as part of the ongoing Amrit Mahotsav of India’s 75th Independence Day, with the aim of strengthening the bond of friendship between ICCR alumni, the embassy said.

The program was inaugurated by politician Dr. In the presence of Shashank Koirala, famous actress Manisha Koirala and former distinguished students of ICCR of Nepal, the appointment was jointly made by Deputy Chief Namagya Khampa.

On the occasion, two distinguished alumni of ICCR from Nepal – Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University Dr. Bhola Thapa and Nilesh Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Clearing House shared their experiences while studying in India. At the ceremony, well-known actress Koirala shared her childhood and early education experiences in India.

The cultural program was presented by the students of the center and the experience of the alumni of ICCR from all over the world was collected and presented through video.
