Kathmandu- Nepal and India have signed an agreement on wastewater management project. Nepal and India have signed a bilateral agreement for a wastewater management project in Solukhumbu district of Nepal.

On Tuesday, the Indian Embassy and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration of the Government of Nepal and Khumbu Pasanglamu Municipality signed a memorandum of understanding between Solukhumbu.

According to the agreement, India will provide Rs 41.1 million for the construction of Khumjung Khunde Wastewater Management Project.

The construction of the project is expected to improve local health and quality of life in Khumjung village of Solukhumbu, as well as provide much needed safe water and sanitation in terms of public health.
