Kathmandu- The ninth Nepal-India Line of Credit (LOC) review meeting has been concluded.

The meeting was held at a function in Kathmandu on Tuesday after the inauguration of the Modi-Lekhnath power transmission line and substations constructed under the substation project at Laha Chowk in Kaski district on Monday.

The meeting discussed the progress of the project under construction in Nepal with Indian cooperation, further certainty of implementation and more effective utilization of funds under LOC.

The meeting was chaired by Ishwori Prasad Aryal, Joint Secretary, International Economic Cooperation Coordination Division, Ministry of Finance, while Shridharan Madhusudhanan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs (Development Partnership Administration), India, represented India at the meeting.

Similarly, Exim Bank has also organized a workshop the day after the meeting. Discussions were held between the LOC project contractor and officials of various departments involved in project implementation.
